South East Associated Ministries (SEAM)

SEAM is one of the 15 community ministries in the Louisville Metro area and is a member of the Association of Community Ministries.  SEAM is an interfaith community through which local faith traditions relate to each other and foster the human growth and potential of residents within our community.  Staff members work side-by-side with approximately 100 volunteers to provide services to residents living in zip codes 40218 and 40220.

The services provided include:

  • Food
  • Financial Assistance for utilities, rent and medications
  • Back-to-School Supplies
  • Holiday programs that provide Thanksgiving baskets; Christmas stockings and Easter baskets for children; and our “Hand Made in Love” project that provides hand-made mittens, scarves and hats for the winter months.
  • Partnership with the Winterhelp Utility Program
  • Blood pressure screenings.
  • Hand-made mittens, scarves and hats for the winter months.
